The ASERT Resource Center serves as Pennsylvania’s leading source for up-to-date and accurate information and resources for individuals with autism, their families, the community and the professionals who support them. Contact the ASERT resource center to speak with a resource specialist who can help you learn how to discover and access resources in Pennsylvania. The resource center is open Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Night Bat Walk: Pequea (Lancaster County) Climbers Run Nature Preserve

Interested in Bats? Learn about the importance of bats and take a night walk with citizen science bat tracking equipment! (Separate registration is required for the Bat House Building Workshop from 4:30-6:30pm).

[6:30 - 6:50pm] Arrive at 6:30pm to enjoy light refreshments or bring your own dinner to eat while enjoying the beauty of Climbers Run.

[8:00 - 8:30pm] Dr. Aaron Haines and Carter Farmer from Millersville University’s bat citizen science project with Q&A


Bat Walk [8:30-10:30pm]
[8:30 - 10:30pm] Citizen Science Bat Walk around Climbers Run and learn all about bats. Track bat activity using citizen science equipment and understand current research in progress with the Conservancy and Millersville University.
