Community Skate--Free Skating Event to Benefit Cocoa Packs: Hershey Hersheypark Arena
100 West Hersheypark Drive, Hershey 17033

Celebrate National Skating Month with their free Community Skate at the Historic Hersheypark Arena! This event is open to all community members. Admission is free but skate rental will be available for $2.50.

Attendees are asked to bring food donations for the nonprofit Cocoa Packs program. This program benefits over 600 Derry Township students who are “food insecure” by providing food over the weekend or when school is not in session. Current items needed include a range of single-serve food items such as macaroni and cheese cups, snack bars, individual cereal boxes, tuna, and juice boxes.

Invite a friend and join them for games, music, refreshments, and door prizes. From 6:30 to 7:00, a free group Learn-to-Skate lesson will be held for those interested or you can just continue to skate.

Parking is free, and located outside the front of the Hersheypark Arena. Enter the Arena at the right side doors. Boy Scout Troop 65 will be helping us "man" the table you will see inside the door, where you can leave any food donations for Cocoa Packs, then follow the signs around to the staircase downstairs. Please sign in at the information table upon arrival, which will be located near the skate rental at ice level. Remember to bring warm clothing and gloves! New skaters are encouraged to bring and wear bicycle helmets. Kid-friendly.
