The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has reported that the prevalence of autism has increased over time where they now estimate that 1 in every 68 children have autism.

The Pennsylvania Autism Census, conducted by the ASERT Collaborative Eastern Region, found that there were 4,167 individuals with autism in Philadelphia receiving services as of 2014. This number nearly doubled from the previous PA Autism Census in 2009.
