ASERT Resource Fairs

ASERT hosted a series of resource fairs in its eastern region in May and June to help connect community members with resources in their area. Each fair featured a broad array of autism resources with information available from the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation (OVR) as well as service providers for all age groups, including Bureau of Autism Services Adult Autism Waiver (AAW) providers and Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Services (BHRS) providers.

Attendees at the fairs had the opportunity to engage with each of the resource representatives, and the resource representatives were able to devote time to speak with attendees and discuss their programs. Keynote speakers Congressman Charles Dent, Councilman Dennis O’Brien, and Congressman Patrick Meehan each attended one of the fairs, and spent time interacting with vendors and attendees in addition to providing keynote remarks.

Special thanks to the keynote speakers, the vendors who shared information, and the more than 50 community members who attended the fairs.
