This autism resource guide was developed by faculty and staff in the Center for Autism Research (CAR) and the Autism Services, Education, Resources, & Training (ASERT) Eastern Region Collaborative.
CAR is affiliated with the University of Pennsylvania's Department of Pediatrics and the Joseph Stokes, Jr. Research Institute at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. CAR coordinates, sponsors, and supports research into understanding the causes and treatment of autism spectrum disorders.
The ASERT Collaboratives are funded by the Bureau of Autism Services, Office of Developmental Programs, Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare. The goal of the ASERT Collaboratives is to improve outcomes, quality of life, and community participation of individuals with autism and their families, regardless of age or severity of impairment.
Throughout this website we use the term 'autism' to refer to all Autism Spectrum Disorders.
